Community Preparedness & Training
Recognizing prevention is critical, MCDR will engage communities in disaster preparedness through deployment of Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) to high-risk communities providing educational outreach to ensure local populations are prepared to respond effectively in the face of future crises.
Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E)
Our teams constantly evaluate new and emerging products and technology to develop Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) supporting effective disaster response. Team training, equipment procurement and scenario-based exercises are focused on supporting rapid deployment and effective TTP development.
Disaster Response
In the aftermath of a disaster, MCDR’s regional teams deploy from mission support sites immediately, providing a coordinated, efficient response that includes search-and-rescue operations, first responder medical care, and essential services like food and water distribution.
Recovery & Rebuilding
MCDR partners with local governments, and other relief organizations to assist in long-term recovery efforts, focusing on rebuilding infrastructure, restoring homes, and creating sustainable solutions.

MCDR Teams coordinate with threatened communities for preparedness and contingency planning before disaster strikes.
Interaction with Volunteer networks and State/Local response planners facilitates a coordinated effort and increased coverage in for response in declared disaster areas.
Training
Our Military and First Responder Veterans bring subject matter expertise required for effective response in challenging operational environments.
We continuously evaluate new methodologies for adoption in MCDR response Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). SOP's guide staff and volunteers in training and education in preparation for response.
Threat Identification
MCDR Intel Analysts continuously monitor national news and weather for developing events and situational awareness.
Once a catastrophic response event is identified, MCDR assigns a zero hour or start time. Zero hour tracking provides a running clock for events in the response management timeline.
MCDR aims for near zero hour response.
Mobilization
Regional teams are alerted through a mobilization warning order. Teams pre-positioned in critical areas are linked up with logistical support on a mobilization order for near a zero-hour response.
Mobilized Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders, Logistics Support Teams and Volunteers prepare for response and rapid deployment.
